Johnny Cash the man the myth the legend is by far one the top entertainers of 21s.t centuries. Johnny Cash was born February 26, 1932 in Kingsland Arkansas U.S. Johnny Cash died September 12, 2003 at age 71 in Nashville Tennessee. Here a little back ground on J.R also know as Johnny Cash, his relatives new Johnny as J.R which is what his parents named Johnny just because they could not agree on a name so they gave him the initials J.R as his name. When Johnny joined the military they would not accept initials for a name so he went with Johnny R. Cash. Once out of the military and Johnny started singing with Sun Records he took the stage name Johnny Cash and the rest is history.
